About the Program
The group beginning violin curriculum for young children focuses on building a strong foundation in musicianship, ensemble playing, and essential violin techniques.
Aural skills develop progressively through singing and movement, preparing students for orchestral participation. Materials are engaging, encouraging creativity and exploration through composition and improvisation.
The curriculum features songs with lyrics for expression, original pieces, folk songs, and works from renowned composers to maintain children's enthusiasm.
This unique curriculum is designed by our director, Alphonsus, using his various knowledges in music pedagogy such as Kodaly, Suzuki, Dalcroze and his passionate research for music learning in early years and his experience in running orchestral strings program in primary schools.
The materials are sourced from child-friendly string method books from proven methods for children to make learning fun, engaging and enriching.
