Accessing Music Lessons Through NDIS
We are committed to make music lessons accessible and inclusive to all. We can support and assist your child in getting funding for Music Lessons under NDIS if it aligns with your child’s NDIS goals. Our range of individual and group music lessons can tailor to your child’s specific goals and needs as well as our expertise and flexibility in adopting various approaches to teaching music.
Submit an application form below ‘Application of Music Lessons Under NDIS’ to get in touch with us so that we can assist you.
Please note that this application is not a guarantee that we can get funding for your child, but to assist and support the process of funding for music lessons under NDIS.
What the process involves:
1. Arranging a meeting with you, the parent/ caregiver and your child to discuss your NDIS Goals. As a qualifed music educator, we may engage your child in musical activities or ask some questions to observe interest, communication style, motor coordination, and preferred learning methods with the aim to tailor or suggest an ongoing music program that aligns with your child’s NDIS goals that support their development. Please note that this session is educational in nature and is not a clinical or diagnostic assessment of any sort.
2. Liaising with your plan manager (if plan-managed) to check fund availability, get pre-approval and confirm funding category.
3. Designing a NDIS compliant service agreement for you that is tailored to your NDIS goals to be eligible for funding.
We can also support our students under NDIS plan in providing NDIS compliant progress reports if necessary to ensure ongoing music lessons funding.
Please note that we are unable to assist you in application of music lessons under NDIS if your child is agency managed.
