Where children don’t just learn drums — they learn to think in rhythm

A musicianship-first rhythm and percussion program where children develop beat, timing, coordination, listening, ensemble skills and musical confidence through joyful music making.

At AuriBeats, children learn rhythm from the inside out.

Before simply copying drum patterns, they first learn to feel the beat, move with music, recognise rhythm patterns, listen deeply, and understand how rhythm works in real music.

Hear it. Feel it. Play it.

This is not traditional drum lessons

Many beginner drum programs focus heavily on reading rhythms, copying beats, or playing louder and faster.

While technique is important, AuriBeats believes true rhythmic understanding must come first.

Our program combines:

  • Music Learning Theory-inspired teaching

  • Drum kit foundations

  • Hand percussion

  • Xylophones, boomwhackers and resonator bells

  • Movement and body percussion

  • Ensemble-based learning

  • Rhythm pattern development

  • Listening and improvisation

Children do not simply memorise drum patterns.

They learn to understand, feel and create rhythm.

A rhythm foundation for young musicians

AuriBeats introduces children to the exciting world of drums and percussion in a nurturing, structured and developmentally appropriate environment.

Depending on age and class level, children may explore:

  • Drum kit playing

  • Hand drums and percussion

  • Boomwhackers

  • Xylophones

  • Resonator bells

  • Body percussion

  • Rhythm games

  • Ensemble grooves

  • Improvisation and creative rhythm work

This gives children a broad rhythmic foundation before specialising more deeply in drum kit technique.

Why AuriBeats?

AuriBeats helps children develop:

  • Steady beat and timing

  • Coordination and motor skills

  • Listening and concentration

How children learn in AuriBeats

Our teaching sequence follows our Auri-Instrumental approach guided by Music Learning Theory (MLT):

Hear it → Feel it → Say it → Move it → Play it → Understand it

Children are guided to experience rhythm before being asked to read or analyse it.

This helps them build real musicianship, not just mechanical playing.

Instruments Used in AuriBeats

AuriBeats may include:

  • Electronic drum kits

  • Hand percussion

  • Xylophones or Glockenspiel

  • Boomwhackers

  • Resonator bells

  • Rhythm sticks

Each instrument supports a different part of rhythmic development.

Together, they help children become more complete musicians.
