Multi-Instrument Exploration for Children Ages 6–9

Let them explore before they choose.

A hands-on music exploration program designed to help children experience different instruments, build strong musical foundations and discover what inspires them.

Keyboard • Violin • Guitar • Drums • Woodwind • Percussion • Singing

Your child doesn’t need to know which instrument they want to learn yet.

That’s what AuriExplore is for.

More Than Just Trying Different Instruments

Choosing your child’s first instrument can be difficult. Piano? Guitar? Violin? Drums? Sometimes children simply haven’t had enough experience to know what they enjoy yet.

AuriExplore gives them the chance to discover.

Children experience a range of instruments while developing musical skills that transfer across all of them. Through listening, singing, movement, exploration, creativity and play, children begin discovering the sounds and instruments that inspire them most.

The goal isn’t simply to find an instrument. It’s to help your child become musical.

Why Explore Music First?

music note_edited.png

Children are naturally curious. Giving them opportunities to experience different instruments can help them discover their interests while developing broader musicianship.

Through AuriExplore, children develop:

  • Rhythm, beat and coordination

  • Pitch and tonal awareness

  • Listening and audiation skills

  • Creativity and improvisation

  • Musical confidence

  • Ensemble and social music-making skills

  • An understanding of different instruments

These foundations support your child no matter which instrument they eventually choose.

What Does an AuriExplore Class Feel Like?

Every lesson is active, practical and full of music-making. Children might:

  • Sing and move

  • Explore rhythm and tonal patterns

  • Play keyboard

  • Strum a guitar

  • Experience violin

  • Discover woodwind instruments

  • Play drums and percussion

  • Improvise and create

  • Make music together

Rather than spending the whole lesson with one instrument, children experience music in different ways.

They connect what they hear with what they sing, feel and play.

Is AuriExplore Right for My Child?

AuriExplore is designed for children ages 6–9 and may be a great fit if your child:

  • Loves music but isn’t sure which instrument to choose

  • Wants to experience several instruments

  • Is new to instrumental learning

  • Enjoys active, hands-on learning

  • Is curious about how different instruments work

  • Would benefit from broader musicianship before specialising

No prior musical experience is required.

Curiosity is enough.

Building Skills That Transfer

Although children experience different instruments, the musical skills underneath them are connected.

AuriExplore develops:

  • A steady sense of beat

  • Tonal and pitch awareness

  • Listening and inner hearing, or audiation

  • Coordination and fine motor skills

  • Musical memory and pattern recognition

  • Creativity and improvisation

  • Ensemble skills

  • Confidence and musical curiosity

These foundations can travel with your child whichever instrument they eventually choose.

A Research-Informed Approach to Music Education

AuriExplore follows the same musicianship-first philosophy that guides our AuriSeries programs.

Inspired by Music Learning Theory (MLT) and the way children naturally learn language, children experience music through listening, singing, movement and play before relying heavily on notation.

Hear It. Sing It. Play It. Understand It.

Listen → Imitate → Understand → Create → Read → Write

Children aren’t simply shown which buttons, strings or keys to press.

We want them to understand the music they’re making.

Give Your Child the Freedom to Discover Music

You don’t need to choose their instrument before they’ve had the chance to explore.

Let them experience different sounds, instruments and ways of making music while building strong foundations for wherever their musical journey takes them.

Explore first. Discover what they love. Then choose their musical path.
